Census 2022 took place in April 2022, only weeks after the first arrivals from Ukraine, so its figure of 8,077 people speaking Ukrainian at home is a heavy undercount, even though it was already up 165% on 2016. The CSO’s Arrivals from Ukraine series gives the fuller picture: by June 2026, 122,636 PPS numbers had been issued to people under Temporary Protection, and 84,739 of them showed recent activity in Irish administrative data. Many are now working, studying or retraining here, so diplomas, work records and school certificates are what we translate most.

Soviet-era certificates are often in Russian or bilingual, while newer ones are in Ukrainian and may come with an extract (витяг) from the State Register. We translate both scripts and every stamp.

Issued by the civil registry office (РАЦС), it records the surname each spouse chose. We translate it for the HSE, ISD or a passport application, with both names transliterated to match your passports.
