FAQ

Getting Started

Irish bodies do not keep a list of approved translators. What they ask for is a translation by a professional translator or translation company, signed and dated, with a statement of accuracy and the translator’s contact details. Our Certificate of Accuracy is written to that format, with our company stamp and a reference number added. If a receiving body rejects it, we revise it free or refund you in full.
No. Ireland has no sworn or court-appointed translator system. You may see “sworn translation” used by clients from Poland, Spain or Brazil, where it is a legal title, but Irish bodies ask for a certified translation from a professional translator instead.
€29.95 per page (300 source words), the same for every language, with no surcharge for rarer ones. Apostille is €149.95 per document with digital delivery, or €199.95 with a shipped hard copy.
Yes, for the translation itself. Immigration Service Delivery’s visa pages say translations done in the EEA or Switzerland do not need to be attested or apostilled, and ours are certified and signed in the EU, inside the EEA. Visa documents must be sent as hard copies, so add a hard copy by tracked post at checkout. If your original documents were issued outside the EEA, ISD may want those originals apostilled by the country that issued them.
FAQ

Irish Requirements

Possibly not. Under EU Regulation 2016/1191, many EU birth, marriage, death and criminal-record documents can be issued with a multilingual standard form, which Irish immigration, civil registration and citizenship services accept in place of a translation. If you do not have the form, or the body asks for a translation anyway, we can translate the document for you.
Standard turnaround is 24 hours for documents of 1–3 pages. Longer documents take a little longer, and we confirm the delivery time before you pay. A 12-hour expedited service is available on request.
Not for Irish public bodies: English and Irish are both official languages, and documents in either are accepted. If you need an Irish-language document translated into English for use abroad, we can help.
A statement that the document is a true translation of the original, the translation date, the translator’s name and signature, our address, phone and email, our company stamp and a unique reference number. This covers what Immigration Service Delivery, the Foreign Births Register, NMBI, CORU and the Medical Council ask to see.

FAQ

Apostille, Payment & Privacy

Irish bodies ask for a translation by a professional translator or translation company, so a translation you make yourself will usually not be accepted.
Yes. We arrange apostille certification on our certified translations for use abroad, €149.95 per document with digital delivery or €199.95 with a shipped hard copy. See our apostille page for which documents it suits.
You see the full price in euro before paying. You can cancel within 14 days of ordering; if you ask us to start straight away and the translation is fully delivered, the right to cancel ends at that point. If you cancel while we are working, you pay only for the work already done.
Uploads are encrypted in transit and your documents are used only to complete your order.
