Most of our vehicle work is three high-volume documents: the Japanese export certificate that comes with JDM imports, EU vehicle registration certificates, and Spanish-language Puerto Rico titles. A title must be read precisely – the VIN, owner and lien status decide whether a DMV or Customs will register the car. Here are the formats we translate most.
The Japanese export certificate – the 輸出抹消登録証明書 (export deregistration certificate) issued when a vehicle is deregistered for export – is the key ownership document for a JDM import, and what US Customs (CBP), the DOT/EPA and your state DMV need. We also translate the 自動車検査証 (shaken) inspection certificate, preserving the chassis number, model code and owner exactly.
EU member states issue a harmonised vehicle registration certificate – Germany’s Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I & II, and equivalents in France, Italy, Poland, Spain and beyond – with standardised field codes. We render the coded fields and the FIN (VIN) and preserve the ownership part (Teil II) that proves title for US import and DMV titling.
Puerto Rico is a US territory, but its DTOP / CESCO title (Título de Propiedad) and registration are issued in Spanish, so a mainland DMV needs a certified English translation to title and register the vehicle stateside. We preserve the VIN, owner and any lien exactly.
Mexican ownership is proven by the factura (invoice) and the tarjeta de circulación rather than a US-style title. We translate both, preserving the número de serie (VIN) and owner exactly for the DMV and CBP.
The UAE Mulkiya (ملكية), issued by the RTA or an emirate’s traffic department, is the ownership and registration card. It is largely bilingual Arabic-English, but the Arabic fields, the owner’s name and any re-export certificate need certified translation; we preserve the chassis number (VIN) and owner exactly for the DMV and CBP.
The Korean vehicle registration certificate shows the VIN, model and owner with inspection data. We translate every field for import titling.
We translate car titles and vehicle registrations both into English and from English into any target language. Whether it is a Japanese export certificate, an EU vehicle registration certificate, a Puerto Rico título, a Mexican factura or a UAE Mulkiya, every order follows the same quality-controlled process, preserving the VIN and ownership exactly. You upload, we translate, certify and deliver – ready for the DMV or Customs.
